Topics of Interest to the MSDG

The Greater Washington-Baltimore Mass Spectrometry Discussion Group meets monthly from September through June to discuss various aspects of mass spectrometry. Members of the group include research scientists and students from local government, academic and industrial laboratories. Meetings are usually held on the third Monday of each month (see schedule below) at the Hewlett-Packard regional offices in Rockville, MD (see below for directions) at 7:30 pm. Our meetings usually involve a lecture by an expert in the field of mass spectrometry and its related sciences from the area or outside the area. The Washington-Baltimore MSDG also conducts a short course entitled "Interpretation of Mass Spectra" each year at the American Society for Mass Spectrometry Meeting. Members of the discusion group serve as instructors for the course. The course is also offered occasionally at the HP offices in Rockville, particularly in years when the ASMS meeting is not in the Northeast U.S. Further information about the short course is listed below.
